Jeans for Genes day is an annual fundraising event, where adults and children wear their jeans to work and make a donation. The money that is raised provides care and support of children with genetic disorders through Jeans for Genes grant programme.
At Robin Hood Primary we raised £189.00 through staff and children wearing their jeans to school and making a donation. We would like to thank all parents, carers, teachers, other members of staff and the children for their contribution to a worthwhile cause.
It’s Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event, where people across the UK hold coffee mornings in aid of “Macmillan Cancer Support” to raise money and awareness for people living with cancer. In 2013, 154,000 people signed up, raising a record £20 million.
From the generosity of parents and carers who donated cakes and purchased cakes, Robin Hood PTA managed to raise £254.66 for “Macmillan Cancer Support”.
Welcome to the Robin Hood Primary School website. We hope that you find the site useful and interesting. Over the year we aim to make it a first port of call for information about our school.
We pride ourselves in providing a happy, safe and enjoyable school experience for the children and have very committed and skilled staff who work very hard to provide a very good education for every pupil. The school was judged as good with outstanding features in its last OFSTED inspection in 2009 and has continued to improve the provision it offers since then. We believe in educating ‘The Whole Child’ and through a thematic approach to teaching ensure that the children have access to a broad and balanced menu of activities in school and outside of school, which enables them to enjoy a wide range of experiences. I hope that you enjoy looking at our site and if you have any suggestions as to how it might be improved please contact the school by email or telephone.
Robin Hood is a great school because there are some really nice people there.
