Literacy Week – Monday 3rd March – Friday 7th MarchClose
During Literacy Week, parents, older siblings, grandparents, relatives or other close relatives, have been invited to surprise their child by being a ‘Mystery Reader’ in their classroom. Pupils love having family, friends and relatives visit their classroom, to share their learning by reading their favourite story aloud to the class. ‘Mystery Readers’ will visit each day during Literacy Week at 2.45pm. Should be a very enjoyable week for both pupils and their families.
Well done to all the children and staff who donated £1 towards “Ramp Up The Red” day. Robin Hood Primary School children and staff raised a grand total of £220.00 by wearing red clothes and colouring their hair red. All donations, will go towards helping with further research into helping those that suffer with heart problems – from babies born with heart defects, to millions of adults affected by heart disease.
Welcome to the Robin Hood Primary School website. We hope that you find the site useful and interesting. Over the year we aim to make it a first port of call for information about our school.
We pride ourselves in providing a happy, safe and enjoyable school experience for the children and have very committed and skilled staff who work very hard to provide a very good education for every pupil. The school was judged as good with outstanding features in its last OFSTED inspection in 2009 and has continued to improve the provision it offers since then. We believe in educating ‘The Whole Child’ and through a thematic approach to teaching ensure that the children have access to a broad and balanced menu of activities in school and outside of school, which enables them to enjoy a wide range of experiences. I hope that you enjoy looking at our site and if you have any suggestions as to how it might be improved please contact the school by email or telephone.
Robin Hood is a great school because there are some really nice people there.
